Josh had a couple of days off so we all headed over to the
coast and stayed at Loab State Park. We were lucky to
get a campsite looking right over the Chetco River.
We had our own private trail down to the river below.

This little guy would come over and try to pick up crumbs.
Winston (the dog)was tied to the picnic table and stayed as still
as a statue while the squirrel inched closer. He waited patiently
and then charged! The squirrel would run with his stolen goods
and just out of reach of the rope would sit
down on his haunches and mockingly eat his food then would
sneak back over and do it again.
One morning there were about six elk that crossed the river
not too far from our camp. It was so cool!
This one decided to take up permanent residence.
